Thank You Kelsey

It is with regret that the Board of Directors of Abide Family Center announces the resignation of Kelsey Nielsen, co-founder and co-director of Abide. Ms. Nielsen returned to the United States in June 2015 to undertake a six-month sabbatical to attend to personal matters. During that time she felt called to evaluate the next phase in her social work career, and she has ultimately decided to offer Abide her resignation.

Ms. Nielsen played an integral role in the planning and growth of Abide Family Center since its inception in 2012. Her expertise in social work enabled her to successfully launch many of Abide’s programs, including its case management system. The vision for Abide was fueled in part by her passion for protecting and empowering vulnerable families. Her work positively impacted the lives of 103 families and over 300 children. It does not go without great sacrifice and selflessness to have accomplished what she did in her time with Abide, and her allegiance to Abide’s mission will not be forgotten.

Abide Family Center and the Board of Directors wishes to express our deepest appreciation, admiration, and respect for Ms. Nielsen. Please join us in wishing her all the best and every blessing as she moves into the next phase of her career.
