2016 Abide Vision Trips announced!

2015 is a year of growth and excitement here at Abide. After our financial scare earlier this year, we are so excited to share not only is Abide stable in it’s programs and funding, but we are looking towards the future and towards growth!

One of the ways we are growing is by adding Vision Trips to our list of ways people can learn about and become involved with Abide. We had our first pilot trip earlier in October and it was so much fun. A group of ladies came from America to SEE and LEARN what orphan prevention and care looks like here in Uganda and the experience for everyone involved was irreplaceable.

After much thought we’ve decided to plan two more vision trips to Abide in 2016!!

Want to come to Uganda and see firsthand what Abide is doing to keep children in families? Want to meet our staff and the families we work with?  Want to tour and meet our partner organizations? Want to learn about the challenges vulnerable families face and how they can be supported in staying together?  Do you want to have a life changing, eye opening and educational experience in the Pearl of Africa?

We have two Vision Trips planned for 2016.

What past trip members are saying about Abide’s Vision Trips

Seeing these NGOs are working together for a common purpose: reuniting families and empowering women and caring for those in need was my favorite part of the trip.” – Emily

During my trip I got to interact with the adorable children at Abide’s Child Development Center and met and learned from some really cool people. I had my mind and heart changed, realized a passion and learned a new way of thinking…these were my favorite parts of the trip.” -Abbey M.

You guys are all so great and fun and it was just such a welcoming environment!  Overall very unique, fun and thought provoking experience.  Thank you for hosting us!” -Abby E.
